Sense and Sensibility, Part 2

The challenge for General Counsel to influence and lead.

We now live in a world where artificial intelligence can create original content on par with humans. Generative AI (GenAI) is already changing how people work and how businesses compete. In Part 1 of this paper, we showed how GenAI can integrate into legal work, which is inherently language-centric, and how lawyers can interact better with technology, by making that interaction more intuitive and language-based.

In this second part of the series, we focus on the leadership opportunities GenAI creates for the general counsel, across three mandates:

• Shape the new strategic agenda for our AI-ubiquitous future.
• Architect the new legal supply chain for an era of true client-centricity.
• Envision and execute effective transformation of the legal function.

We will explore how legal leaders are called to go beyond sense-making to hone and harness their sensibilities so they might shape the future of their organizations and the legal profession
